Hong Kong Anti-Japanese War and National Security Education Activity

Our school participated in the inter-school drama learning activity 'Same Age, Same Heart—Hong Kong Anti-Japanese War and National Security Education.' Students engaged in interactive learning through drama to feel and experience the hardships of the resistance and the importance of national security.

As an educational activity commemorating the 79th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, this event invited Dr. Au Chi Kin, Associate Professor of History at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, as the guest speaker. His lecture was titled 'Hong Kong During the Japanese Occupation: Three Years and Eight Months,' allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's history during the Anti-Japanese War period.

After the lecture, Principal Chan led students from our school and five other secondary schools in an interactive game set against the backdrop of the Anti-Japanese War. Participants had to portray various characters from that era, including guerrilla fighters, performing artists, journalists, overseas Chinese, healthcare professionals, and political figures, discussing how to rescue patriotic figures. By stepping into the roles of different characters, students gained a deeper understanding of the hardships endured during the Anti-Japanese War and a profound appreciation for the significance of national peace and stability.
